Swannies Spoed Vervoer, a family business owned by 4 brothers, were established in 2004.  This business originated from Vengrove Transport, owned by one of the brothers, Pieter Swanepoel. Vengrove Transport started in 1993 and mainly specialised in long haul transport services.

With new emerging markets in the Northern Cape and surrounding areas, new opportunities started to develop in the transport market.  Back then, Pieter Swanepoel, the owner of Vengrove Transport, soon realized that apart from the long haul services a need exists or was rising for a proper overnight service between Gauteng and the Northern Cape, hence the birth of Swannies Spoed Vervoer.

Swannies’ history dates back to 2004.  In its long history, SSV has had great moments and many challenges that demonstrate its vision and values.  A timeline tracking of SSV’s growth and evolution as an honest leader in the transport market to and from the Northern Cape, can be found in the fact that we initially started with a single office and four Kia pick-up trucks, which already expanded to 5 additional offices in 5 different cities as well as the necessary equipment to properly service the above areas.
